Your sweet students are bringing home information on the trips this afternoon. :)

Calling All MOMS and DADS! :)

Special activities in second grade are so special because great Moms and Dads, like you, help out! I am in need of a Room parent for our class this year. I'm wondering if there is a mom or dad willing to help. :) For our class you would be helping out by organizing volunteers for Mystery Reader, special activities (pumpkin day, polar express day, etc.) learning experiences, and occasional PTA events. In the past I've had a few parents working together so that one person doesn't feel all the weight of responsibility. I'm wondering if one parent would be our organization parent doing emails and sign ups? Another could be someone more free to come into the classroom to facilitate learning experiences (parties). Maybe another could be an assistant or Mystery Reader coordinator? If you'd be willing to help out I would be greatly appreciative! Please email me and let me know and I'll get you set up with some information and further details about how you'd be helping. I promise I'm not demanding. :) The things you do to help aren't strenuous but they are very meaningful for the children. Thank you for your help in advance. I'm looking forward to working with everyone regardless of whether or not you can be our room parent! :)

Off to a great start!

Welcome back, Minnows and families, after a nice long weekend!

Wasn't it fun to enjoy our unoffical last weekend of Summer. I hope you got out in the sunshine and had some fun! :) Fall is just around the corner and were are diving into our learning as we dive into our second full week of school. The students have been working hard learning about maps and directions, lifecycles, centers, odd and even numbers and problem solving. This week we look forward to practicing our centers so that hopefully next week they will be up and running! :) This week we will also be doing a very special activity for our grandparents! Sunday is Grandparents Day! Be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you!

I'm looking forward to another great week of learning with you!

Love,
Miss Mallory
